How to Become Certified

To become MCLP certified, a landscape professional must take, and pass, the MCLP exam. Exams are offered twice yearly, once in the spring (March) and once in the fall (November). (See upcoming events for the next exam date.)

MLP offers Massachusetts landscape professionals working toward their Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional (MCLP) certification a comprehensive green industry resource called the MCLP Study Guide. The 5.0 version of the Study Guide, published in 2008, presents the study material in a unique digital reference format. The guide available on CD-Rom incorporates 1,500 pages of educational material, 400 high-quality color images and interactive tutorials. (Read more about the launch of the current study guide.)
