Position Summary

Skyline Landscapes is seeking an experienced Landscape Crew Leader / Foreman to lead and manage landscape construction crews on complex, high-end projects. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, responsible for jobsite organization, crew productivity, quality control, and communication with management and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing exceptional work while leading by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate landscape construction crews
• Oversee daily jobsite operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Skyline quality standards
• Perform and supervise landscape construction tasks including:
• • Site demo and preparation
  • Field layout, excavation, and grading
  • Installation of retaining walls, walkways, patios, stairs, drainage, irrigation, and low-voltage lighting
• Operate equipment such as mini-excavators, skid steers, and other construction machinery
• Read and interpret landscape and construction plans
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors (pools, fencing, irrigation, water features, courts, etc.)
• Communicate clearly with project managers regarding progress, materials, and scheduling
• Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, and proper use of tools and equipment
• Train and mentor crew members to support team and company growth

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of landscape construction experience, with leadership or foreman experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques and materials
• Experience with site layout, grading, and excavation
• Ability to effectively lead and communicate with a crew
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License (required)
• DOT Medical Card (required)
• Hoisting Engineer License (required, or to obtain within 1 month of starting)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 80 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
